How hot is it?

Many years ago I heard a guy refer to a particularly warm day as "hotter than the hinges of hell." What a great metaphor. It's slightly hotter than that today here in Hoosierville. Which led me to look for pictures of Satan to put with this post. Found a good one. Enjoy the day. Stay in the shade. Drink lots of liquids.

Trying my hand at the technical thingy

This is a picture of me. Big surprise. It was taken in Yellowstone National Park few years ago. The air was pretty damn thin up there. I suppose that if I had to choose only one place in the United States to visit on vacation, it would be Yellowstone. The variety of environments, the vast size of the park, and the classic American sights -- like Old Faithful -- make it a one-of-a-kind experience. I have been to the park when the roads are still blocked with snow, and that was in June. I have been surrounded by bison and have been close enough to moose and elk to get amazing pictures.

Where it all begins

Thank you for joining me. I hope this can become a place to share ideas, share a piece of pie, joke, smoke and invoke the power of the gods of music and words. Music and words, when combined they become a force so powerful that it could only be used for good -- or EVIL!
